Discovery & Goal Setting

This is the most important step in our CRO process. Auditing your site or testing your users won’t matter if we don’t have the big picture of your business and its’ goals. The main goals of this stage of the process are:

  • Understand your business; the history of what worked and what hasn’t.
  • Better understand your customer’s mindset & pain points.
  • Understand your enterprise’s current performance metrics today and what success looks like over the next 12-24 months.

This stage is strictly focused on the data that your analytics platform is gathering. We take a look at the following:

  • How your ideal users are interacting with your current website. This is done through extensive user testing, interviewing, heatmaps, scrollmaps and more.
  • How effective is your design, structure and copy at directing users to completing a transaction. We pay close attention to copy and key messaging to ensure it resonates with customers.
  • How are technical best practices integrated into the site build and information architecture. For example, page speed.
  • How your website compares to direct competitors in your market.

  • Multiple possible solutions or enhancements to resolve issues.
  • A roadmap that clearly prioritizes which hypothesis and solutions to test first and compare against the current site.
